Who is Dan Wood?
Dan Wood is an artist living in Providence, Rhode Island, with a long standing interest in toilets and printing. His recent The Longest Urinal in the World, is part of an ongoing project documenting various toilets from particular points in history, the previous installment being a series of etchings, offset lithographs, and small book of photographs entitled Portojohns of the Million Man March. He is presently continuing his work as an artist and commercial printer (offset and letterpress) and hopes the larger editions this medium allows and the affordability of these prints will broaden their appeal to a larger audience (this means you!). Read more about his approach to printmaking in a recent artist's statement here, or find out more about his approach to toilets in art in a web interview at poopreport.com. Need printing?
